VASCULAR SCREENINGS
Mid West Surgical Specialists offers a qualified Registered Vascular Technologist who performs routine ultrasounds of the neck for carotid disease and of the legs for both peripheral artery disease (PAD) and deep venous thrombosis (DVT), as well as for aneurysms of the abdominal aorta.
GENERAL SURGERY
Mid West Surgical Specialists will evaluate any surgical condition in their office. Common conditions they treat and procedures they perform include:

J. Franklin Oaks, Jr., D.O. - Board certified vascular and general surgeon
Dr. Oaks received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994.He then completed an internship and general surgery residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus. He also completed a general surgery residency and peripheral vascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland.
Jason Rigoni, D.O., F.A.C.S. - Board certified general surgeon
Dr. Rigoni received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie PA. He completed his residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX. Dr. Rigoni is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow with American College of Surgeons. He joins us after his completion of military service at Fort Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Missouri, where he was Chief of General Surgery.
