LMPC Diabetic
Center Awarded American Diabetes Association Recognition
LIMA, Ohio – The
Lima Memorial Professional Corporation (LMPC) Diabetic Center at the
Lima Memorial Medical Park has been awarded the prestigious American
Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate.
This
certificate is awarded only to educational programs that meet the rigid
National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs.
Programs that achieve Recognition status have a staff of knowledgeable
health professionals who can provide participants comprehensive
information about diabetes self-management.
The LMPC Diabetic
Center offers a comprehensive diabetic education program that includes a
complete patient evaluation and assessment, tailored to the individual
patient’s needs. The Center also works with the patient’s physician on
his/her treatment plan. According to the Center for Disease Control,
eight percent of the U.S. population has diabetes.
“This award
has verified our commitment to diabetic education and ensures quality
care to all of our patients,” said Vicki Lear, the Physician’s Assistant
at the LMPC Diabetic Center.
